An iPhone. Antiqua is iPhone-only and portrait, a single quiet vertical scroll, built to be picked up for a few minutes at a time.
Yes, every work in the catalogue is in the public domain, sourced from the Metropolitan Museum of Art, the Art Institute of Chicago, the Cleveland Museum of Art and the Rijksmuseum. No filters, no duotone; the paintings are shown as they are.
A catalogue across every major movement, and growing. New paintings are added regularly, like a museum adding rooms.
Hello. Made by Jose Fournier. I’m figuring this out as I go, vetting the artwork, writing the collection cards, and answering the emails. The longer story is on the About page.
The roadmap shows what has shipped, what is being built and what is being weighed, version by version. Vote up or down on what matters to you, and send an idea from the same page.
The app has no account, no sync and no tracking, and your progress stays on your iPhone. If you vote or send an idea on the roadmap, from the app or the website, we keep the vote or the text, and nothing that names you unless you add it. The website no longer takes sign-ups and runs no trackers. If you signed the register before it closed, we keep only the details you gave us then, and we never sell them. Ask us to delete them any time at [email protected]. The full version is on the privacy page.
iPhone only today. Android may follow depending on demand, I’m one person, looking to expand after launch.
Please do. A movement, a painter, a single painting you’d love to wander into, write to [email protected]. We read every note.
Why not.
A portion of every purchase supports museum preservation. Distribution details and partner museums are forthcoming as we formalize our nonprofit relationships.
